Terms of Use

Last updated 5 September 2026

These terms govern your firm's use of LawbizOS. By creating a firm, signing in, or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

LawbizOS is practice management software for law firms in India, operated from India. In these terms, “LawbizOS”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of the service, and “you” or “your firm” means the firm and the people it invites to use the service.

2. The service

LawbizOS brings a firm’s clients, matters, hearings, deadlines, invoices, payments, expenses, people, payroll and documents into one workspace, with reports and reminders built on that data. We may add, change or remove features over time. We do not process payments to third parties on your behalf and we do not give legal, tax or financial advice; the service records what your firm does, it does not decide it for you.

3. Accounts and users

The person who creates the firm is its owner. The owner may invite colleagues. Every invited user is an employee of the firm and sees only what they are assigned; the owner sees the whole firm. You are responsible for keeping sign-in credentials secure, for the activity of your users, and for making sure each user is entitled to the access they are given. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

4. Your data is yours

Your clients, matters, documents and every record you enter belong to your firm. We store and process them only to provide the service to you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use one firm’s data to serve another. You can export everything your firm holds at any time from Settings.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to break the law, to store or share content you have no right to, to attempt to reach another firm’s data, to probe or disrupt the service’s security or infrastructure, or to resell the service without our agreement. You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data your firm puts into LawbizOS, including any personal data of your clients.

6. Trials, subscriptions and billing

New firms get a free trial with full access and no card required. After the trial, continued use needs a subscription. Plans, limits and prices are shown in the app; billing is arranged directly. If a subscription lapses, your workspace is locked but your data is not deleted, and you can still export it. Fees already paid are not refundable except where the law requires.

7. Availability and support

We work to keep the service available and dependable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may carry out maintenance, and we may suspend access where needed to protect the service or its users. Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis.

8. Our intellectual property

The software, its design, and the LawbizOS name and marks are ours. These terms do not transfer any of that to you. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your firm while your subscription is active.

9. Third-party services

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers, including a cloud database and hosting hosted in India, to run the service. Their handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services you choose to use alongside LawbizOS.

10. Confidentiality

We treat your firm’s data as confidential and restrict access to it. You agree to treat any non-public information about the service as confidential. This clause continues after your use of the service ends.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. You remain responsible for your professional obligations to your own clients; LawbizOS is a tool, not a substitute for a lawyer’s judgment.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees your firm paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, if a subscription is unpaid, or if we are required to by law. On termination you keep the right to export your data for a reasonable period before it is removed from active systems.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the updated version here with a new date, and, for significant changes, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any right you have under law that cannot be waived.
